Sculptures and Tide Markers

The LLDM-1 Sculptures and Tide Markers project will create a ‘people of the landscape’ sculpture series to celebrate the story of this hand-crafted landscape by bringing to life some of the characters from the Levels’ history who have helped shape the landscape over thousands of years. It will also roll out a series of tide markers across the Levels showing levels of present and historic tides, helping to explain the role of sea defences and the drainage system in maintaining a habitable and productive landscape for farming and industry.

Working with local communities to unearth some of the fascinating human stories upon which the Levels are built, the project will deliver human figure sculptures and tidal markers. If you want to get involved, please get in touch as we’d love to hear from you!
