Join us at Redwick Hall on the Gwent Levels on Friday 23rd September 2022, from 10am until 3pm, to learn about the Sustaining the Gwent Levels Project, its legacy and how it can contribute towards shaping new agricultural policy in Wales.
Sustaining the Gwent Levels was a collaborative project, led by RSPB Cymru, that worked closely with farmers and other partners to develop the understanding, knowledge, skills and experience needed to produce food, restore nature, tackle climate change and improve water quality across the Gwent Levels.
The day will be split into two parts, with the morning focussing of the achievements of the Project, the potential for local food economies, Living Levels legacy, particularly for farming and land use, and the role of the future Sustainable Farming Scheme. The morning will conclude with a Q&A session with those involved in the Project, including participating farmers.
Tea and coffee will be available during a mid-morning break, with lunch being served at the end of the first session. The afternoon will focus on a farm walk highlighting the many positive aspects of the Project.
