Join archaeologist Professor Martin Bell on a walk exploring the history of the Gwent Levels!

Want to have a fun day out, while also learning about the history of the Gwent Levels? Come and join us as we take a whistle-stop tour through time!

Join Professor Martin Bell and the Dig Ventures team for a walk looking at the development of Redwick village, the medieval background of Magor Pill, Bronze age archaeology along the foreshore, and much more.

Who can join?

Anyone aged 12+ can join the walk (children must be accompanied by an adult).

Please be aware, this walking route is 7km in length and will take approximately 3.5 hours to complete. Much of the walk will be on the flat, however some portions may cross through rough or uneven ground. We will not be venturing onto the foreshore itself, as we will view the locations of intertidal archaeology from the seawall.
