Sustaining the Gwent Levels

‘Public Goods’ Workshop at Newport Wetlands Education room (NP18 2BZ)

Calling all Gwent Levels Residents if you are passionate about the future of food, pollination, flood mitigation, freshwater, biodiversity, recreation & culture then please attend one of our free public workshops & have your say.

The Welsh Government’s ‘Sustaining the Gwent Levels’ project is holding a series of workshops on the theme of Public Goods and the Gwent Levels.

Public Goods provided on the levels include food provisioning, pollination, flood mitigation, freshwater provision, biodiversity, recreation and cultural aspects.

These workshops are an opportunity for representatives of the wider community to directly share their views, values and perspectives on what they feel are the most important public goods offered by the Gwent Levels landscape and the way in which they are managed.

It should prove to be an insightful and engaging event and will help formulate case studies which will be presented to the Welsh Government to help inform future policy on the Levels.

The day starts at 10.30 and finishes at 3.30pm and will include 40 minutes for lunch. With lunch and all refreshments such as teas and coffees provided.
