Digging for Wales: a poetry performance and open mic with Ben Ray uncovering Wales' archaeology

Ever wondered how people lived in the past, and what traces of them lie just beneath our feet? What were the Gwent Levels like in years gone by?

Join award-winning poet Ben Ray and find out, as he performs poetry exploring Wales' archaeology and history. He will be performing work from some of his favourite poets from Wales, from his own writing - and from you!

We want your poems for this event’s open mic! Send your poems on ‘Digging for Wales’ in to info@livinglevels.org.uk and have your poem performed by Ben live to the internet!

Ben has three published collections, is winner of the 2019 New Poets Prize and is Poet in Residence at LLLP and a patron of the Cheltenham Poetry Festival. He has performed at events across the UK and is ‘a fresh and original poetic voice – full of wit, twists, surprises, echoes and challenges’ (Alan Rusbridger, former editor of The Guardian).
