Tidal gauges around the British Isles measure rising sea level. Predictions based on their trends have been used to predict the range of possible sea level rises in the Severn Estuary during the next century.
Predictions up to 2125 include the possibility that sea level will rise as much during the next hundred years as it had during the previous thousand years, or more.
