To celebrate the launch of ‘City Nature Challenge’ join award-winning published poet Ben Ray as he performs poetry celebrating wildlife carefully chosen from some of his favourite poets in Wales, from his own writing – and from you!
From the ospreys and goshawks nesting in the mountain crags of Snowdonia to the barbel and carp who hide in the coastal reens and ditches of the Gwent Levels, join Ben for this exciting poetic journey.
We want your poems for this event’s open mic! Send your poems on ‘Wild Wales’ in to info@livinglevels.org.uk and have your poem performed by Ben live.
Ben has three published collections, is winner of the 2019 New Poets Prize and Poet in Residence at the 2020 Cheltenham Poetry Festival. He has performed at events across the UK and is ‘a fresh and original poetic voice – full of wit, twists, surprises, echoes and challenges’ (Alan Rusbridger, former editor of The Guardian).
