An introduction to Phase 1 Survey techniques looking at different habitat types, mapping and target note writing with classroom based session in the morning followed by outside practical session using all that newly acquired knowledge in the afternoon. 

This course is suitable for those with some knowledge of habitats and assessing quality but with little experience of carrying out Phase 1 surveys. 

Please bring a packed lunch and suitable clothing for wet/sunny weather.
