Water vole survey training

Join Lowri Watkins, Gwent Wildlife Trust’s  Water Vole Project Officer, for an afternoon learning how to survey for one of our iconic Gwent Levels species, the water vole (Arvicola amphibius), at the beautiful Magor Marsh reserve.

Sturdy footwear and clothing suitable for walking outdoors around Magor Marsh Nature Reserve. Thick long-sleeved and long-trousers advised.

The outdoor survey element will involve going across uneven, muddy ground and through thick vegetation.

Meet at: Magor Marsh Nature Reserve, Derek Upton Centre, Whitewall, Newport NP263DD

Cost: £45 for people pursuing CPD (Free to conservation volunteers)
