Sculpting in willow

sarah_mel.jpg

Living Levels is commissioning a series of sculptures at sites across the Levels to celebrate the stories of people in the landscape.

Join Sarah Hatton of Hatton Willow, as seen on BBC’s The Repair Shop, and Melanie Bastier, renowned willow sculptor, in the beautiful surrounds of the Magor Marsh Nature Reserve for a workshop exploring the use of willow in sculpture.

The day-long event will cover growing and sculpting with willow, including making a spherical garden bird feeder. Participants will be encouraged to share their stories of the Levels, which will be used to inform the creation of a new sculpture at the nature reserve in January 2020.

Bring your own packed lunch. Tea and coffee will be provided.
